Classical China and the Dunhuang Caves
In September 2016, Princetonians joined Study Leader Dora Ching *11, Associate Director of Princeton University's P.Y. and Kinmay W. Tang Center for East Asian Art, to explore Dunhuang's nearly 500 Buddhist cave temples constructed between the fourth and fourteenth centuries. From Beijing to Xian to Shanghai, travelers also witnessed China's classical sites, including the Temple of Heaven and the terracotta warriors.
