A hearty group of Princetonians hit the road across the five 'Stans. With Princeton professors Serguei Oushakine and Kim Lane Schepple, they visited fabled Samarkand, Bukhara and Tashkent on a comprehensive program along the Silk Road. Along the way they encountered a surprising avant garde museum in Nukus and the world's largest enclosed Ferris wheel in Ashgabat.
